The Great 30A Easter Race
The Great 30A Easter Race, an Easter weekend mainstay on 30A, is a fantastic event that actually offers three distinct---as well as distinctly beautiful---courses from which to choose from: the “Clean Feet” 5K course, the "Dirty Feet" 10K course, and the “Stinky Feet” 10K course. Siince 2022 the Great 30A Easter Race has taken place exclusively within the confines of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
The Clean Feet 5K course consists of a fantastic out-and-back route run completely on a paved surface. This course should be fast for those seeking a 5K PR, but most definitely stroller-friendly for those wanting to enjoy the views.
If more distance and sand is what you seek, then The Dirty Feet 10K course is for you! On this loop course you see it all: majestic pines, beach, and dune lakes. Just a fantastic course! You can expect ~2 miles on paved roads, ~1.25 miles on sand, and ~3 miles on trails. And yes, by the end, your feet will likely be dirty. But you will have earned those dirty feet!
The Stinky Feet 10K course is for those looking for a more distance than offered by the Clean Feet 5K, but wanting to keep their shoes clean in the process. The Stinky Feet 10K is TWO LAPS of the Clean Feet 5K course.
Men’s and women’s course winners and runner ups for all courses will receive awards. The top three finishers from each age group will also receive an award. All registered runners who cross the finish line will receive a suitably cool finisher’s award. And of course, an item of awesome Great 30A Easter Race swag will be provided to all registered runners.
