Grayt Jackalope 10 & 5-miler

Established in 2017, the Grayt Jackalope 10 & 5-miler (formerly the Grayton Beach Kous Kouri) is where it all started for the Rotorhead 30A Running Company. As the name implies, the race offers two distinct courses: an 10-mile course and a 5-mile course. Both courses start and finish at the Grayton Beach State Park trailhead. However, Beach Camp Brewpub will serve as the race HQ. More on that in a moment.

After race start, both 10 & 5-mile course runners will proceed from the trailhead parking lot directly onto the awesome (and awesomely beautiful) Grayton Beach State Park trail system. To ensure an orderly start and to avoid trail congestion, the 10-mile runners will start promptly at 8:00a, and the 5-mile runners at 8:10a. Both courses are incredibly scenic, allowing runners to experience a side of Florida most don't usually see! Upon completion, runners can either walk the .61 miles back to Beach Camp or drive themselves. Once back at Beach Camp a tasty beverage and discounted vittles await!

In terms of awards, the men’s and women’s winners and runner ups for both the 10-mile and 5-mile courses will receive awards. As always with this race, age group awards are also provided to the first place through third place finishers from each age group. All registered runners who cross the finish line for their respective race will receive a suitably cool finisher’s award. And of course, an always awesome item of Kous Kouri race swag will be provided to all registered runners...for the 2024 race, we're talking long-sleeve race shirt. As previously mentioned, tasty vittles and beverages await all registered runners at the finish line.
